Dr. Aoife O’Sullivan

Family Medicine Doctor

I’ve been practicing medicine for over twenty years and am board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Throughout my time in medicine, I have seen and treated a wealth of illnesses and injuries in many different setting. What I have enjoyed most of all are the connections I have built with my patients.

I was born and raised in Ireland and moved to the United States in 2004. I attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin and completed my family medicine residency at Dublin’s James Connolly Memorial Hospital. I moved to the U.S. and completed a second family medicine residency at the University of Maryland. I have worked in family practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, and spent four years working at a specialty clinic for the LGBTQ community providing HIV and transgender care. I have completed extra training in perimenopausal and menopausal care in order to provide a more comprehensive and holistic approach to my patients’ health during mid-life.

I chose family medicine after rotating through all specialties during my training. Family medicine gives me a daily dose of each of the specialties I love, and work is never boring. I joined AIM Health because I enjoy giving personalized care and believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare. I am a strong proponent of shared decision making and want my patients to feel heard, seen, and know that I will guide them with the most up-to-date, evidence-based medicine and guidelines. The more time I spend with each patient, and the stronger our relationship, the better I can help them improve their long-term health, happiness and longevity.

When I’m not caring for patients I love to travel and take day-trips with my family. I’m an avid skier, tennis player, and reader. I devour books. I take great pleasure in experimenting with new recipes, always striving for that Paul Hollywood handshake of approval from my two daughters!

I’m happily accepting new patients.
