What is the difference between traditional and membership practices?

Traditional medical practices care for thousands of patients. Concierge or Membership practices typically care for fewer patients overall and charge a monthly fee. The optional membership at AIM Health allows us to keep our practice smaller and see fewer patients per day to provide more quality time. We schedule longer appointments so our doctors have the time to care for all of your concerns and provide comprehensive, thorough, personal care.

AIM Health’s membership practice was founded on the principle that relationship is more important than profit. We strive to make your experience feel more like family; your time is valued and your concerns are heard.

Is the membership a long-term contract?

There is no long-term commitment required when signing up for an AIM Health membership. Members can pay by the month, quarter or year. However, our goal is to develop meaningful relationships with our patients that extend into a lifetime of care.

Do I need health insurance if I have a membership?

Yes. Office visits and services are billed directly to your insurance company. However, if you do not have insurance, we also offer a cash service. Please contact us for more information or to schedule your appointment.

AIM Health Service Questions

Is there a limit to how many patients can join your service?

We limit the number of patients seen by our doctors to ensure high quality and compassionate care. However, we are taking new patients at this time. We are currently accepting new patients at our West Linn location which serves all of Portland, Oregon, and its metro area. Please contact us to learn more.

I want to see my doctor now. How do I make an appointment?

If you are a member, you have 24/7 access to your doctor by phone, text, or email. Members can also schedule appointments online. If you are a not a member, you can contact us during business hours and our staff will help you set up an appointment. You can also submit information online through our online form.

How often can I visit my doctor?

Please visit us as often as you need.

What services are NOT available at AIM Health?

The doctors at AIM Health are located in West Linn, Oregon, and do not generally prescribe long-term narcotic pain medication. We’ll gladly work with you to find alternative, healthy options, including recommending a pain management specialist.

We do not do DOT physicals or provide workman’s compensation exams.

Insurance-related Questions

Do you take insurance? How will this work with my existing insurance?

We are currently accepting the following insurance: Aetna, Cigna, First Choice Health, Health Net, Moda, Providence, Regence, United, and yes, even Medicare. If your insurance is not on our list, give us a call and we’ll see if we can arrange it. Office visits and services are billed to your insurance company just like traditional medical clinics. Always check with our staff at AIM Health to make sure you are in-network.

What if I don’t have insurance?

No problem. We also offer cash services. Please contact us to schedule your appointment.

What if?

What if I need a specialist?

We coordinate with most Oregon specialists and hospital doctors in accordance with individual needs. If you choose to involve integrative health practitioners in your care, we’ll coordinate with them, too.

What if I need urgent care?

If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the emergency room at your nearest hospital.

If you have a non-emergent but urgent after hours need, members may contact their AIM Health doctor directly. Non-members may contact our on-call doctor by calling our office.

What if you are on vacation?

If we are on vacation, another AIM Health doctor will take care of your acute needs.

Hospital and Emergency Care Questions

Is hospital care included within your plan?

We do not admit patients directly to the hospital. If you need to be hospitalized, your AIM Health doctor will coordinate directly with hospital doctors in Oregon. While you are in the hospital, we will follow closely and act as an advisor to your hospital team as needed.

We will ensure you’re taken care of after you leave the hospital by following up with you to make sure your path to recovery is smooth.
